The two volumes of I Can Learn Torah are written for students in kindergarten to second grades. Each volume teaches Torah through a carefully translated text and thought-provoking questions.
I Can Learn Torah is an innovative K-2 Bible program that actively involves parents as partners in the learning process. The student book presents each story using age-appropriate English, which remains true to the Hebrew, and is meant to be read aloud. There are opportunities for students to construct meaning from each story via pencil and paper exercises (drawing, connect-the-dots, comments, etc.). Questions in the margins help draw the students into an interactive storytelling process.
Each volume has a corresponding Parent-Teacher Study Guide that provides background on each of the stories, guidelines and suggestions for teaching the stories, and a resource for parallel parent study sessions.
There are currently two volumes of student text in the I Can Learn Torah series. Also available are the I Can Learn Torah Parent-Teacher Introduction, as well as two volumes of the Parent-Teacher Study Guide—one for each student volume.
I Can Learn Torah, Volume 1: Stories of the Beginning contains the following biblical stories: Creation, the Garden, Cain and Abel, the Flood, and the Tower of Babel. Joel Grishaver
