Each BJL Activity Book is designed to teach Jewish holidays, synagogue rituals, and prayers in the concrete ideas appropriate to kindergaten through second-grade students. Each black and white book is 32 pages, including a guide for parents.

BJL Activity Books ("Blue Label") are for children in kindergarten, first and second grades and their parents. These are books about Jewish holiday ritual. BJL Activity Books introduce a fundamental "Jewish vocabulary" intended to facilitate the later acquisition of Hebrew language.

Each book tells the story of a holiday or synagogue or blessing in simple vocabulary, focusing on the symbols for each. Every two or three pages there is an age-appropriate exercise, such as matching, mazes, connect-the-dots, or sequencing. Each book concludes with a two-page essay for parents.

BJL Activity Books connect the classroom and the home and, in doing so, provide the best possible foundation for a successful Jewish education. BJL Rosh ha-Shanah & Yom Kippur Activity Book teaches the symbols and ritual of these two important holidays. In it students explore the concepts of t'shuvah (repentance), and the ideas of forgiveness, saying "I'm sorry" and beginning anew every year.
