Use this write-on and erase poster to take students’ “reading” of Ein Kamokha
from decoding to true reading.
Coach students by filling in English translations of each word below the Hebrew text. Use different colors to connect similar words throughout the text.
Erase the poster and do it again another day.
Project works for multiple skill levels; all students can see the translation of repeated words in lines above and fill them in on later lines, more advanced students can be challenged to recall words that are not repeated.

- Decoding and understanding of Avot.
- Deducing the meaning of unknown words in a familiar text by identifying the known words.
- Transforming the translation of individual words into a cohesive English sentence.
