The History of Israel: Kibbutz lesson offers students an opportunity to focus on the history of the kibbutz and its creation by early settlers. It includes a simulated kibbutz meeting that struggles with the compromises that are facing the modern kibbutz movement and the changes that may be ending the viability of kibbutzim as a way of life. This lesson moves from the history of the kibbutz to its possible future.
