Grades: 3-Adult This game involves families with children as young as seven in an experience that includes debating case studies, examining value choices and even hevruta study (parents and children working together to make sense of a series of Jewish texts). All of these activities focus on the ethics of language, the things we should and should not say.
OVERVIEW
Words that Hit-Words that Hug is a program designed for families. It was designed primarily for families with children in first, second, and third grade. However, families do not come with children neatly graded. The program has been used and refined experimentally for several years. It has easily accommodated siblings who are both older and younger than that age range. This, however, is a family program and is difficult to do without at least one adult for every couple of children. The program is made up of three basic activities that are interwoven.
